Board of Education Regular Meeting

I. Call to Order - President Broz called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. in the board room at the High School.  Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all board members.  

I.A. Roll Call - Board members present:  Aaron Broz, Toby Cox, Dexter Lacey, Andrea Richards, and Marian Richards.  Absent was board member Vickie Gohl.  Also present were Superintendent Phil Mahan, Principal Tony Primavera.  

I.B. Pledge of Allegiance - President Broz led the Pledge of Allegiance.    

I.C. Recognition of Visitors – No visitors present.

I.D. Recognition of Open Meetings Act poster - President Broz advised all in attendance of the Open Meetings Act poster which was displayed in the board room.

I.E. Adoption of Agenda - Motion Passed:  Motion to adopt the agenda as presented passed with a motion by Marian Richards and a second by Dexter Lacey.  5 Yeas - 0 Nays – 1 Absent.

II. Audience Communications - none

III. Board Member/Committee Reports – The Negotiations/Finance Committee met prior to tonight’s meeting with staff regarding Classified Staff salaries.  The committee recommends a 4% raise for all classified staff. 

IV. Administrative Report – Update given on the recent NSAA transgender vote and how to proceed.  Update given on State FFA results.

IV.A. Summer projects – Discussion held regarding the elementary heating units.
